Marc Brunet

Ottawa born and raised Marc Brunet always had a lot of respect and appreciation for realistic art. His favorite era is the Renaissance; The great masters all accomplished such great paintings with so few colors at their disposition. It was only in the late 1980's that he took a broader interest in the art world. He started to draw more consistently in the 1990's. His journey as an artist started to develop once he retired from OC Transpo in 2003 as a Senior Supervisor in law enforcement.

Marc enrolled in several courses at Ottawa Art East, Ottawa School of Art, Kevin Chan Portrait Classes, Kerry Weller atelier, Portrait International Laval University, Toronto Academy of Realist Art and finaly and currently the Ottawa based Monart School Academy program sanctioned by the Toronto Academy instruction.

Marc believes that learning art is a life long journey. One must persevere, show discipline, dedication, consistency and some humility. There is something unique and very special when an artist is drawing or painting a live model, especially when the artist can achieve a successful ressemblance. It is a special bond without words.
