Dot has been a professional artist model since 2003; before she modeled for artist friends as a personal favour. As a child she learned how to pose in front of a camera and became familiar with being on stage in the theatre. These early experiences made Dot very comfortable with her body. She describes her modeling work as the most relaxing job she ever had.

Nudity has never been a big issue for her and although physically challenging, the long poses give her an opportunity to daydream and meditate.

Dot likes the discreteness of life drawing. She is not so keen on whole figure photography, unless she knows and trusts the artist involved.

Dot finds kneeling poses difficult to maintain, but she has a beautiful face to draw and she is excellent in maintaining the gaze. She likes to enhance her natural features with make-up, hairpieces, bandanas, flowers and jewelry. One of her favourite long poses is a reclining one with her chest curved up and her head down. Dot works for schools, life drawing groups and individual artists.
