KEVIN

Kevin finds the profession of an artist’s model a very solitary one, one that fits his personality well as he likes to be alone with his own thoughts. Being a man of few words, he prefers to communicate silently with the artist he works for. He enjoys the freedom that modeling brings him, especially when it involves nudity. He rebels against the prudishness of our established society. After all, he states, we are all born without clothes on.

Nudity is indeed a total non-issue for him. Kevin has a beautifully sculpted body that he keeps in shape by doing various activities including running, cycling and lifting weights. Showing it off when he models is a bonus. His poses are designed to do just that, which explains why he prefers the shorter poses over the longer ones and whole figure over portrait work.

Kevin looks for inspiration on www.modelmayhem.com and gives the poses he likes a personal twist, sometimes with the use of props like boxing gloves or a tie. He draws from a good repertoire of standing, kneeling, sitting and reclining poses. A sitting pose with both arms and legs crossed is one of his signatures. Whereas the daredevil comes through in his gestures, he prefers to sit for long poses. To keep his blood flowing, he makes it a sport to slightly move his muscles without anybody noticing. In the meantime he keeps his mind going by solving problems.

Kevin started modeling around 2006-2007, after he was trained at the Ottawa school of Art. At present he mainly works for life drawing groups and art photographers.
